In 1993, twelve-year-old Taylor Greeson had his first sexual encounter with an older boarder in his parents’ house, was ordained in the priesthood of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and lost his brother to murder—all within a span of a few months. The documentary MEADOWLARK details the events of that summer of Greeson’s life and how they shaped who he is today. He provides interviews with family members not only about his life but also the mysterious and tragic murder of his brother. The murder itself is recounted by those who were involved, including a moving interview with the murderer himself. The film also explores Greeson’s first sexual relationship and how its meaning changed through the years. MEADOWLARK uniquely explores the issues of family and love and grabs the viewer from beginning to end.
