Because the Internet is an increasingly popular outlet for gay men to make social and sexual connections, Gay City Health Project partnered with Three Dollar Bill Cinema to create GAY CITY TV: YOUR LIFE, YOUR COMMUNITY, UNSCRIPTED. This innovative digital media and film project uses the Internet and recorded interviews to turn the energy of local men interacting with one another on the Internet into action with the power to effect behavioral change and increase sexual safety.
This free program includes the premiere of A CONNECTION WAS MADE, the first Gay City TV (GCTV) film to directly address online socialization and how gay men are navigating the digital landscape. The stories shared by GCTV participants inspired the film and are used as illustrations. After the screening, stay for some live interaction: a discussion with the director and project participants.
The GCTV project is continually collecting recorded stories to post online and to use in future short films. If you’d like to be a part of this exciting venture, email jeff@gaycity.org.
Please join us for a post-screening reception at Rosebud, 719 E. Pike Street, 7:00pm
