Is life better in the City of Light or the City of Angels? Distraught by a recent breakup, gay Parisian Jérôme Beaunez (Eric Debets) cannot bear the approaching holiday season alone. To escape, he decides to pursue his long-dormant dream of Hollywood stardom in sun-drenched California. But a seedy hostel, convoluted public transit, flaky people, empty beaches, and tediously competitive casting procedures are not really on his fantasy-filled agenda. Meanwhile, relentless images of his ex-lover and his new boy toy shagging continue to haunt Jérôme's nights. Before reality crushes Jérôme's ambition, prospects rise on the horizon as he befriends gorgeous pot dealer Ross (Chad Allen), a sexy trans hooker, and a salty-sweet old drag queen. These new connections and experiences make Jérôme's decision whether to return home to a stable life in Paris or grow roots in the strange and wonderful city of Los Angeles that much harder. Director Jason Bushman's first feature depicts the absurdity of showbiz and brings untold stories from the streets of Hollywood to the big screen with a surprising, refreshing, and humorous twist.
