The lives of two very different couples collide in this comedic romp through parenthood, religion, interracial relationships, and homophobia. Miranda (A.J. Cooke), a devout Christian living in Georgia, hasn’t slept with her husband Parker (David Sutcliffe) since the loss of their child to a rare, terminal disease. One night while watching a TV documentary, Miranda learns about a gay couple in Boston in need of a surrogate. As it happens, one partner is Sandy (David Moscow), a Jewish doctor determined to cure the same disease that took her son’s life. Miranda sees this as a sign that she is meant to fulfill the desires of the two men regardless of the fact that they are homosexual and are probably going to hell. Things heat up when Sandy’s partner Terry (Orlando Jones), an African-American choreographer, impulsively decides to move down south to be with Sandy and Miranda to micromanage the pregnancy. Complicating the situation, Miranda hasn’t even yet told Parker of her decision. What will be born of the collision of cultures and beliefs is anyone’s guess.
